MY FACE HAS FLOWN ON THE SPACE SHUTTLE AND THAT WAS THE HIGHEST I EVER THOUGHT I COULD GO. I WAS WRONG. I HAVE NEVER BEEN HIGHER THAN WHEN I RODE "ROY ROGERS'" HORSE, TRIGGER. IT WAS AN HONOR THAT MR. HAND AND I WILL NEVER FORGET. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, MR. ROGERS.
Elwood
THANKS TO DAVE AT THE ROY ROGERS' MUSEUM, ELWOOD WAS ALLOWED TO VISIT. RIGHT OFF THE BAT, DUSTY ROGERS SHOWED ME AROUND SOME OF THE EXHIBITS. ELWOOD SURE ENVIED THE CLOTHES MR. ROGERS WORE OVER THE YEARS.
DUSTY KNEW HE WAS GOING TO LET ELWOOD RIDE TRIGGER AND TOOK HIM FOR RIDING LESSONS AT THE KID'S CORRAL. DUSTY POINTED OUT TO ELWOOD THAT RIDING WAS A SERIOUS BUSINESS AND TOOK A LOT OF PRACTICE. ELWOOD FELL OFF A FEW TIMES, BUT NEVER GAVE UP. YOU CAN NEVER GIVE UP ON A DREAM.
FINALLY, THE DAY CAME TO MEET TRIGGER. DUSTY TOOK IT SLOW AND IN NO TIME, TRIGGER TOOK A LIKING TO ELWOOD. ELWOOD KNEW HE WAS ON TOP OF THE WORLD AND YOU CAN SEE IT IN HIS SMILE.

AFTER ELWOOD GOT THE HANG OF THINGS, HE HAD HIS PICTURE TAKEN WITH BUTTERMILK AND BULLET. IT WAS THEN TIME FOR HIM TO UNSADDLE AND GET HIS LAND LEGS UNDER HIM AGAIN. ELWOOD WILL BE THE FIRST ONE TO TELL YOU, IF YOU ARE EVER IN CALIFORNIA, DO NOT MISS A CHANCE TO BATHE IN THE HOSPITALITY OF THE "ROY ROGERS'" MUSEUM. IT IS A DREAM COME TRUE FOR EVERY CHILD, AND ONE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE PARAMOUNT TO ELWOOD.

"HAPPY TRAILS"
