IT SEEMS LIKE ONLY YESTERDAY I WAS ONE.

IT WAS HARD FOR ELWOOD TO BELIEVE, BUT OCTOBER 1ST 1984 WAS HIS 25TH BIRTHDAY, AND WHAT BETTER WAY TO SPEND IT, THAN WITH YOUR FRIENDS. YES, THERES NOTHING LIKE CAKE AND ICE CREAM TO MAKE ANY OCCASION A SPECIAL ONE.

THE KIDS TELL ME THEY ARE TAKING ME TO DISNEYLAND FOR MY BIRTHDAY!

THIS WAS ELWOOD’S FIRST TRIP TO DISNEYLAND. THE KIDS HELD AN ESSAY CONTEST TO SEE WHO WOULD GET TO GO WITH ELWOOD THAT DAY AND AMBER MUNERLYN WON. SHE WAS EXCITED, AS SHE HAD NEVER BEEN THERE EITHER. ELWOOD AND HIS COMPANIONS SPENT THE DAY ON THE RIDES AND TALKING TO MICKEY. MICKEY WAS VERY INTERESTED IN ALL OF ELWOOD’S PINS AND BADGES, UNTIL HE GOT TO THE KNOTT'S BERRY FARM AMUSEMENT PARK BADGE. BAD FORM, YOU KNOW, TO PLUG ONE ESTABLISHMENT WHILE IN ANOTHER.

NO TRIP TO CALIFORNIA WOULD BE COMPLETE FOR ME, UNTIL I PAID MY RESPECTS TO
MR. JIMMY STEWART.

ELWOOD MADE A STOP AT MANN’S CHINESE THEATRE TO SEE THE FOOT PRINTS OF JIMMY STEWART. ELWOOD WAS NAMED FOR THE PART OF “ELWOOD P. DOWD” PLAYED MY MR. STEWART IN THE MOVIE “HARVEY”.
